Sony TV soups up sound and vision • Unless Sony springs a replacement for 2019’s ZF9 series on us later in the year, the KD-65XH9505 is the Japanese brand’s flagship 65in 4K TV for 2020. And at first glance you might wonder if that's a status that it will be able to live up to. Even the £2,000 ticket, while not inconsiderable, doesn't exactly scream 'flagship'.

Wall-hanging home cinema • LG has refreshed its OLED range in 2020. As well as adding a 48in model to its entry-level series, and doubling down on 8K with both 77in and 88in ZX TVs, it's taken its former G Series range and rebranded it 'Gallery GX'. This, then, is a TV you’re meant to hang on a wall like a work of art. If you want to stand-mount it, you’ll need to invest another £99 to keep it upright.

Alpha bravo? • The price of PSB's new sub grabs your attention, but does its 8in woofer and 150W amp grab onto movie soundtracks? Mark Craven finds out
